Dermatology is one of the medical specialties that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the skin, mucous membranes, hair and nails. It also deals with sexually transmitted diseases, in addition to some cosmetic problems and their treatment in children and adults. This specialty overlaps with many other specialties, such as internal diseases, in which skin manifestations are seen as one of the manifestations of some pathological conditions or cases of cancerous tumors.
The Syrian Board of Medical Specialization-certified dermatologist has a wide training in identifying and treating diseases that affect the skin, hair, and nails.
Dermatologists spend more than a decade in training before they may start working, which includes:
A medical doctor must complete sex years of medical school.
Then the training in Dermatology specialization for four years.
Dermatology residents spend their training under senior physicians and completing 12,000–16,000 hours of patient care.
Supervision the approved training program.
Full supervision of the exam process in all its stages.
Defining the requirements for recognition of the training centers.
Defining the list of scientific references for specialization.
Conducting academic educational activities, conferences, courses and workshops.
Saturday- Thursday at 09am -3pm, except on holidays.
