Impact and outputs achieved by the Syrian Board of Medical Specialties SBOMS in Syria

  1. Contribute to improving the quality of health services provided in north and northwest Syria by training specialist physicians in accordance with international standards by a high rate of up to 75%.
  2. The existence of a single educational medical body recognized by all for post-graduate trainees and medical specialists
  3. Contribute to improving the level of the health staff in general and the specialist physicians supervising the training in particular during the application of training standards and medical education within the facilities.
  4. Compensating for the shortage in the number of specialists, whether due to systematic targeting during the war or migration in search of safety and better job opportunities, by supplementing northern Syria with two hundreds and twenty-five (225) specialized doctors of various specialties.
  5. Contribute to the resettlement of the population and community stability in the area by providing physicians of all specialties in appropriate numbers.
  6. Adding new specialties will contribute to reducing the number of sick cases referred to Turkey and treating them inside Syria, in the presence of these skilled specialists.
  7. Contributing to the return of physicians to northern Syria, whether from Turkey or from the rest of the Refuge countries, in order to complete their specialization and provide them with job opportunities
  8. Limiting the migration of medical personnel to Turkey and Refuge countries, whether in order to pursue a specialization or work.
  9. Improving the efficiency of health facilities that have been accredited as residents training centers by providing their support organizations with all medical, technical, and logistical preparations, and thus improving the quality of health service provided and the medical training process.
