December 2024 witnessed intensive activity at the Syrian Board of Medical Specialties (SBOMS), with the organization of a series of specialized training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of resident doctors in various medical branches.
Pediatric Laparoscopic Surgery Training:
An intensive training was conducted on the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery in the field of pediatric surgery, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Qaddah. The training targeted resident doctors in pediatric surgery, and it included theoretical lectures and practical workshops to enhance their skills in this delicate field.
Pediatric Head Ultrasound Training:
In the field of pediatrics, the Board organized specialized training on the use of head ultrasound technology to diagnose diseases in newborns and infants. Dr. Manal Zahran supervised this training, which targeted resident doctors in pediatrics and aimed to equip them with the necessary skills to perform diagnostic examinations using this vital technique
Gynecological Laparoscopic Surgery Training:
December also saw specialized training in the field of gynecological laparoscopic surgery, targeting resident doctors in obstetrics and gynecology. The training focused on the latest techniques in the field of gynecological laparoscopic surgery, with the aim of enabling resident doctors to perform delicate surgical procedures with the highest levels of efficiency. This training was supervised by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bawab, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialty Board

These training programs come within the framework of the Syrian Board of Medical Specialties’ commitment to developing national medical competencies and providing resident doctors with the latest knowledge and skills necessary to practice their profession with high efficiency.
