  • Conducting needs assessments to study the training requirements and needs of new and existing programs across various specializations.
  • Curriculum Design: Defining educational objectives and the content required to achieve these objectives and organizing educational materials logically and sequentially.
  • Developing detailed and engaging educational content, selecting appropriate educational methods, and leveraging modern educational technologies and tools.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Designing tests and evaluations to measure the achievement of educational objectives, evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum, and making necessary modifications.
  • Educational Technology: Identifying modern educational technologies, tools, and digital platforms, if appropriate, for training.
  • Updating existing curricula periodically to ensure they align with the latest developments and needs.
  • Enhancing Quality: Directing efforts towards improving the level of quality and effectiveness of curricula.
  • Dealing with Challenges: Addressing any challenges or problems that arise during the application of the curriculum and searching for appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborating with SBOMS’s specialties scientific councils to develop and improve the specialties training programs (residency) curricula,
  • Guiding Modern Clinical Teaching Approaches and Competency-Based Assessment Procedures.
  • Ensuring Alignment with SBOMS’s Overall Goals and Objectives.
  • Coordinating residents’ rotation programs, including training locations and resources
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of rotation programs and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to enhance clinical skills teaching.
  • Promoting research training among specialties programs’ supervisors and residents.
  • Supporting the production of research projects and publications.
  • Ensuring that research aligns with SBOMS’s medical education objectives.
  • Conducting regular communications with the scientific councils’ members and visits to the training health facilities.
  • Monitoring specialist curricula development and implementation progress, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions.
  • Maintaining records and documentation of project activities.
  • Continuously assessing the capacity of scientific council members in curriculum development, clinical training, mentoring and assessment methodologies, and research skills.
  • Actively contributing to their capacity enhancement and recommend appropriate capacity development programs if needed.
  • Preparing regular reports on the activities, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Documenting best practices and lessons learned.
  • Effective communication with scientific councils, clinical trainers, and participants to understand their needs and inquiries.
  • Fostering strong relationships with SBOMS partners, including international peers, training institutions, NGOs and donors to advance medical education goals.
  • Representing SBOMS at relevant meetings and working groups.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Project management skills.
  • Research experience and publications.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Medical degree and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Good level in English language, written and spoken.
  • Experience in medical education and curriculum development, Preferably, he/she should have a Certificate in medical education.
