The Syrian Board of Medical Specializations Celebrates Scientific Research Training Achievement in NW Syria

On Thursday, June 13th, 2024, the Syrian Board of Medical Specializations (SBOMS) marked the awarding of certificates for scientific research training in conflict zones. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with King’s College London, was part of the Research for Health System Strengthening in Northwest Syria (R4HSSS) project. The event was held under the auspices of the Idlib Health Directorate and UOSSM, highlighting their dedication to enhancing medical education and training in areas affected by conflict.

Awarding certificates in this important event

During the ceremony, certificates were awarded for the completion of the third scientific research training session titled ” Conducting Health Research in Conflict Settings: Navigating Research Challenges for Impactful Evidence” These certificates were presented to 12 participants, including residents, graduates, and supervisors. This achievement marks a significant milestone in their careers, underscoring their ongoing dedication to enhancing their medical expertise.

The training provided is part of the Syrian Board of Medical Specializations’ efforts to elevate healthcare services by advancing postgraduate medical education and enhancing medical research in the region. This initiative aims to leverage research outcomes for practical applications that benefit the community.
